Somehow version changed without me being aware… Also the lower right corner of screenshot shows the ‘error icon’ which was always there, not specifying what error and just opens up opens the AVG ZEN when clicked. Should be a few days at most, given that I have set option to schedule scan daily.
You can see it’s been 23 days since the last scan. Here is screenshot of what I reported earlier, if that’s still useful to you. The interface was different: I was able to set option to do scheduled scan daily from pull down menu, or scan when the Window first started each day, checking log history of previous scans, way quarantined files can be checked also different… I remember only installed the Free vision before. Not sure how different versions of AVG got installed. Reinstalled a fresh copy downloaded from AVG site, seems to be working for the time being. Have uninstalled all the AVG programs, not sure why there are several installations. Trying to unintall all and then reinstall a flesh copy and see if works. There are more than one AVG products of same name listed under Programs and Features include some sort of add-ons from AVG too for some reason.
Managed to get quick fix to some of issues above. I'm really having hard time with newer versions of window to be honest.īack after nearly 2 hours since above feedback I used to have much better control with Window XP or ealier version. While not as importance as AVG not working, the online game start to not load the page properly about 1 month ago on this computer, but may related to same bigger issue, so I mention it here. It's like something is wrong with the Window 8. I got the the Msg 'Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed' I have not even start to Uninstall or make change to any program! This is really odd! in fact all other programs also gave the same Msg, not just AVG, I'm pretty sure no programs is already uninstalling or repairing. Also noticed even Task Manager is unable to be opened.
